Don't understand the negatives.
I have all CoDs, all BBC's and I find the game better than CoD and nearly as good as BBC. The weapons are more realistic as to performance and type and the NVG sessions are more realistic and easier to operate and see around you, where as they are a bit off the deep end in MW2. Let's face it, it is being compared to the others and I note that most haters are CoD fans while the BBC fans appear to like the game. Personally, if you take it for what it is, you will enjoy the game, you can't expect it to be the other games. I feel bad for gamers with single minded obsessions as you will find your gaming world very limited.
The graphics are good, & I didn't encounter the glitches I did in BBC, and the campaign length is right on par with MW2 but short of BBC. You also have to use your head and strategize quite a bit more than in MW2 in lieu of just hauling but and blasting away.
Storyline; I mean really, who cares, it is just like war, you don't have a storyline, just a bunch of fragmented objectives all of which collectively apply to one goal, defeat your enemy. One day you are on a scouting mission, the next attempting to liberate a hostage, etc. The key is to kill before being killed and complete each individual mission. Again, in my book a lengthy storyline is not a key issue to this type of game.
I find the online play much more fullfilling than MW2 but not a difficult as BBC. While the maps are a bit 'terse" in size and variety, they are using the same marketing strategy as the others in order to sell us expansion packs later.
I rarely recommend games worthy to be purchased new, but I would suggest it is well worth waiting on a full package used version at about 10 to 20% less as I purchased with the you know who discount card.
I give it a 9.0 and find it on par with my other favorite shooters and worth MY time to play.
