This game truly brings out the potential of the series
It doesn't differ much from the basic system of the series, but they did improve upon it. They fixed some of the strange things your troops can do, but they couldn't stop all of it. It can be frustrating when archers or javelinmen skirmish, but don't run from charging infantry quickly enough.
The campaign is even more immersing than the rest of the series, and every faction changes how you see the campaign map. The different religions really make an interesting twist to the game, though excommunication isn't as bad as you might suspect.
Overall, this game gives you a feeling of total control that cannot be matched by any other RTS game.
