This game is Megaman at its pure state.

User Rating: 10 | Rockman 2: Dr. Wily no Nazo NES
Megaman 2, probably the game that sent the never ending franchise to the top. The one that made it popular, ladies and gentlemen, this right here, this is THE game.

Megaman has been known for a long time now, but nobody can say they played a true Megaman game unleess they have played Megaman 2.

Dr. Wily is still out there, and despite him being defeated the first time by Megaman in the first title, he has escaped and created 8 new robots to counter Megaman and bring him down. For the second time, you go out there through amazing stages to defeat those 8 new robots and take Wily down, again.

That's the big story there is in the game. This is, as you expected, similar to Megaman 1 xept this time around you have 3 special items for you to discover, as they will bring you to places you couldn't reach normally, and eventually, they are vital to your success. The game plays quite simply, easily, without any problems. Of course, there are problems. Which ones? Watch out with your special weapons, wouldn't want to waste them when you need them further on (those who played it know what I mean). Although I still consider Megaman 3 to be the best of the classic series, I can't deny that Megaman 2 is closer to my heart. I grew playing this game all the time, many people did, and I think this is the reason why it is the most favored Megaman title out there. I played this game over and over, and still pretty often do when the time is right. Although the game itself is pretty short and can be beaten within one sitting, I swear I must have spent hundreds of hours on it with the number of times I've played.

In my opinion, almost every Megaman games deserves a 10, but if I only could, this one would get an even higher rating. Unfortunately, this is not possible.

To anyone who wishes to play this amazing game which made Megaman what it is today, you can either be crazy and try to grab a NES cartridge of the game (suposing you still have a working NES console), or get the Megaman Anniversary Collection on which it has Megaman 1 to 8 plus 2 bonus games. Have fun people, and never, NEVER neglect this title, which was probably the best NES game to have ever existed.
