One of the best Mega Man games for the NES.

I guess I'm on a roll with these Mega Man games, I finished the first one yesterday and today I finished Mega Man 4, which is about as challenging as the first one, and while it's robot masters aren't as cool, a few minor things and improvements make it a little better. You have the slide ability, which I believe was introduced in the third game. You also have the ability to charge up your M-buster for more devestating effect. The stages are better, more creative in design and have less cheap death traps, although there are some.

The robot masters, there are 8 of them, many of them are really challenging, even with the right weapon, and the final gauntlet of bosses, yes, one of the series trademarks, is really challenging, you don't want to deplete your energy and weapons energy too much before facing Dr. Wily, which BTW has a ridicilous last battle. You can't see a darn thing, it's complete darkness with only 1 second of light, so you got to be quick and spot him and then face the right direction and shoot. One thing I really appreciated was the energy tanks, they're easier to find here.

Look, Mega Man games are awesome, and this is one of the best, keep 'em coming Nintendo, I want all the NES and SNES titles on the Virtual Console.
