For Mega Man newbies, a great place to start.
Graphics: The graphics are still the same as ever. You know, this wouldn't bother me so much if, the graphics, like the Mega Man formula, is showing it's age. 8/10
Controls: The controls are exactly the same as last time. Down and A to slide, B to shoot, the works. But, Capcom hasn't really added any new functions to the controls, lately. 9/10
Story: This is where I don't even think Capcom was trying. A strange man named Mr. X has started a tournament for the world's strongest robots, but reprograms them to do his evil bidding. I don't think Capcom was trying, because Mr. X looks almost exactly like Dr. Wily, just with goggles. 4/10
Difficulty: Every Mega Man game has been known for being a bit frustrating, due to the need for dead-on accuracy and pinpoint controls. Mega Man 6 is an exception. Almost every robot master can be destroyed using a charged up Mega Buster shot. 8/10
Overall, the game is not, in any way, bad. But Mega Man games have high standards. This game passes the Mega Man standard, just not as well as Mega Man 2 or 3. This is a great starting point for people who are just starting Mega Man. 7.5/10 Capcom did a nice job on this game, just not as well as previous Mega Man titles.
