Affordable. Fun. Old school.
Mega Man AC is basically just a trip through time. On the trip you'll see, and play the Mega Man games on the NES, SNES, Saturn, etc. Overall it's a pretty good game, but the graphics are outdated, along with the music. The game is not long by any means but it still has a decent replay value. Mega Man The Power Fighters is a perfect game to keep playing because it has some great multiplayer, and the rest of the Mega Man games are pretty good too. It could take you longer if your a new person to the series because the difficulty is unforgiving.
In Mega Man games, you play as Mega Man who is, what appears ot be a boy in a blue suit and a blaster arm. Mega Man is a very well known character who has starred in numerous games, and his best games are on this dics. (Such as the critically acclaimed Mega Man 2 for NES.) There are no games that are really horrible, but games like Mega Man 5 and up from there are disapointing and play almost exactly like its predecessors so the game is really only worth buying for Mega Man, MM 2, MM3, MM4 and The Power Fighters. With the games cheap $19.99 price tag, it's also a good deal.
While the music was good, it sounds really outdated, especially the Mega Man games in AC that were transfered from the NES. It was nearly twenty years ago and Capcom didn't update the music at all. The music is still pretty good, and 8-bit music is actually pretty popular now, but if your into remixed music then you won't find much in this department. The game has some extras such as interviews. They are interesting to watch and a nice add on which every collection should have.
Overall, Mega Man Anniversary Collection is especially fun for those who first experienced it on the NES, SNES, PS1 days but if your new to it, it may prove to be too tough.
