I have never been the best MegaMan player in the world because how difficult the games can be. But they are still pretty creative and far from ever being bad games.

Gameplay... the hard part is getting through the whole level to reach the boss, exspecially the first 6. The worst part in each level is jumping over gaps. Megaman in the first 6 games is not that great of a jumper and some places can be a leap of faith to make it over the gap. I also hate trying to time my jumps with the appearing/disappearing platforms. The boss part though is pretty easy. It is actually easier them the modern day bosses you see in game these days.

Graphics are on the dated side, at least the NES graphics are better then the earlier systems before NES. Still I can see the level very well.

Sound can be either dated or updated depending if you get the Gamecube or the PS2 version. But still the sounds and music is still good.

For the value, I think it is worth it to pay $20 or less to get 8-10 classic games. This I can use to keep memories of a classic series.
