Megaman Battle Network 1,3,4,5,and 6 can't compare.
In the first MMBN game, you had to undergo several lesser challenges, with unlimited health on the field. In this one, Nope. You have to use sub chips, chips that can restore health, and many other things.
Story: WWW is gone, and Lan is enjoying summer vacation. There is a new group trying to take over the internet, and it's known as "Gospel". Not the best name choice, since Gospel music is 100% to the lord, and these people want to take over the freaking world. But, aside from that, is relevant to the other 5.Lan go save planet. Lan win. End.
Gameplay: I prefer the Stat Upping with upgrades somewhat suitable. I feared I'd make a mistake too easily in the other ones. I'd forget something, and take a half an hour in figuring it out. If you're a fan of that, chances are after awhile, It'll grow on you. This game also offers nostalgia, being the easiest to get into BN game I can think of. In the other BN's, the areas get stronger Viruses, whereas in BN 2, you get the same old viruses. But as for deleting them, it seems to be rather easy. Heck, My 8 year old cousin managed to get Megaman to level 3 in Heatguts, something I tried to do for a while. Speaking of Guts, there's also an whole new system regarding Megaman's status. In later games, you'd have to "Synchronize" with your worst enemies[and protoman]. In this one, you get to level up in a "Guts" system, you get a random ability of four possible guts styles, get to LVL 3, then get another one. You can only hold two, due to the "Memory" of your PET, but it's just Capcom's way of saying "Dem's the rules".
Sound: Where the music will stick in your head, I personally hate the "Earth is in trouble, go fix it" music, but like the other music. It's not bad for GBA, but nothing really special.
Replay Value: Moderate. The urge to delete your old file to experience this all again is not there, but worth it.
Overall score: I'm willing to let all of the bad things slide, and give it a 10. It's one of my favorite games, and has a lot of Nostalgia for me. First MM game, first borrowed game, Lots of nostalgia.
