Megaman Maverick Hunter X Review.

A long time ago capcom came up with a way to revolutionize the megaman gameplay, where the old games were more about beating boses and defeating bosses, this game is about the same thing, except you get to find armor parts with new abilities...this is all more fun than it sounds of course as you play a Robot with human emotions, a reploid. You star as X, a reploid with a arm cannon and almost everyone has seen or played a megaman game and knows what its about. you go through various stages defeating bosses, collecting energy tanks and finding upgrades that make you quicker, more resistant to damage and so forth. so what has changed in this remake of Megaman X. Well many things really, you have updated graphics, sound, music and voices, the charcters now talk and there is an actual outlined plot in the game itself. Which helps in your understanding of the story and what brought the entire war on. More than even that, beat the game and your treated to a 20 minute long movie on the beginnings of it all.
Now for the gameplay itself, you go through each level in 2d style fighting enemies and and a few mini bosses every once in a while, at the end of the level you have to fight one of 8 bosses, each of which grants you a new weapon when it is defeated. Aside from that, the formula is still there, the password system from the old game has been replaced with a save mechanism and your also now able to escape the levels at any time, even if you havent defeated the boss, this might seem absurd to some elitist gamers, but who cares, its the fun that matters, and this game is fun. Along with all that has been offered, your also able to play as Vile, one of X arch nemesis who has a large arsenal to play with and offers a different story line. all in all, its a good investment and its a fun game that will offer some fun for around 10-15 hours, much less if you ever played any megaman x game. but very worth the money.
