Despite the problems and what most people have to say, Mega Man Network Transmission won't disappoint fans.

Of course, I love Mega Man, and this game turns out to be quite good. Why? It's a really good mix of the Original MM games and the Battle Network games. Review start.

Gameplay: Like I said in the beginning, the game turns out to be an Original Mega Man game and a Mega Man Battle Network game merged together. In the beginning of the game, Lan and Mega Man defeat the Life Virus, the final boss in the first Battle Network. They then get the news that another virus called "Zero" is now invading the internet. For the rest of the gameplay, in the very beginning of the game, Mega Man's buster is so weak, it doesn't even charge up. So you'll need alot of support from your Battle Chips. But there is a way to make your Buster super-handy: Remember the Power-Ups from MMBN 1 and 2? You can purchase those in shops. With a Power-Up, you can upgrade your Buster for one of three options: Attack, Rapid and Charge. Attack increases the power of your Buster. Rapid increases the speed of pressing the B Button to fire your Buster. Charge gives you the Charge Shot ability, and can be upgraded for a faster Charge Shot. Plus, there are Armors. When you meet Roll shortly in the game, she will give you the Heat Armor. Mainly because the first boss you'll battle is Fire Man (BN1, anyone?). Plus, there is an Elec Armor, Wood Armor and Aqua Armor. The gameplay starts out decent, but as you get farther in the game, you will really enjoy the game.

Graphics: The graphics are also good. All characters are cel-shaded, but the backgrounds are very well done.

Sound: The sound is also pretty good. The fire shots from the beast-type virus sound a tad weird, and I would've prefered the US voices from Mega Man NT Warrior instead of the Japanese ones. Overall, pretty good.

Value: You won't find much replay value in the beginning, but as you get even closer (when you upgrade your Buster, of course), you will soon find this game really good.

Final words: Overall, Mega Man Network Transmission is a great game that won't disappoint Mega Man fans alike. If you are a fan of both the Classic Mega Man games and the Battle Network series, or just like platformers, then I would recommend this game.
