Megaman Star Force 3: Red Joker is the third installment of the Megaman Starforce series. In this game you battle old bosses from Taurus to new bosses such as Diamond Ice. If you probably know the Megaman Starforce series adds a different ability mechanic to each of there games they make. The first included starforce. The second involved Mu items. This game however adds a mechanic unlike the other two. It is called Noise Forms. After playing the game for a certain amount of time they get an ability called the joker program. The joker program allows you to semi transform into an old boss like cancer bubble. However there is a catch. When you first start a battle a bar pops up in the corner of the screen and tells you how much noise there is. The noise increases by deleting viruses or damaging bosses. When that bar reaches 50 percent you transform into your noise form but if you get hit by the opposite element of your noise form. (Ex. Cancer bubble hit by elec. attack.) You revert back to normal megaman with 0 percent noise. In this game there is also the special noise form once you hit 200 percent noise form or more depending on which game you have. (Red Joker or Black Ace.) When you tap the meteor server button on the custom screen new cards pop instead of the ones your using already. These cards are usually powerful and very rare. Also your blaster is maxed out. However if you don't win with your special noise form in three turns you revert back to normal.
Improvements from old game: There is some differences I have forgot to mention in this game. The first is your new mobile device called the hunter VG. It is used to go into noise areas, change you card data, manage items, go to multiplayer, and of course saving your game. The second improvement is you can transform into megaman at any time instead of using wave holes. However some parts of the story forbid you to change into megaman.
Good parts: Great Story Line Welcomes newcomers with Dictionary Awesome bosses New Cards Noise Forms Less Random Encounters with viruses
Bad Parts: Requires two cards for multiplayer (Couldn't they have added a default deck for download play?) No way of adding more link power without computer friends or Real People. Less impressive sites unlike the second game. You can't make combo cards like other two games. Can't summon wave friends to help you out like in second game. (One of my favorite things gone :(
Final score: 8.5 Good game but not enough changes to make this game stand out.
