While Not The Best Way to Experience Mega Man, it's a pretty good Sega Genesis game.

While these days, it's no secret that in the 1990's, Sega was PLAGUED by executive meddling that REALLY hampered their efforts to make great video games for great video game systems, one of the first early warning signs that Sega was being stymied from within, was the fact that this GREAT video game, wasn't given a physical release on a physical cartridge in North America, until just this YEAR! I mean, I don't think it's hyperbole to say that people would've paid good money to have a physical release of the game back in the 1990's, and it certainly would've been more convenient than having to go onto the Sega Genesis VERY primitive online service! Thankfully, after roughly 30 years, this oversight has FINALLY been corrected, as North American video game players can finally play this game the way it was always meant to be played. Basically, what "Super Mario All-Stars" did for the first four "Super Mario" games in giving them graphic updates, "Mega Man: The Wily Wars" does for the first three "Mega Man" games; it gives the games GORGEOUS 16 bit sprite artwork, and updates the music and sound to match the superior hardware. Oddly enough, though, this game is NOT the best way to experience the three "Mega Man" games. For some reason, in "Mega Man 1", the controls feel a little sluggish compared to the NES original (although thankfully, the Yellow Devil has ALSO been slowed down a LOT, so now you can LEGITIMATELY beat it without having to resort to the pause trick, which can no longer be exploited in this version. Also, for some reason, after you fire some weapons, if you're standing still, there's a bit of a lag between after you fire the weapon, and before you can jump. If you want to play this game, I highly recommend using the Nintendo Switch Online Service for the Sega Genesis, where you can utilize the valuable rewind feature, which you will inevitably use, a LOT, and the Suspend Save feature will probably come in handy as well! If you beat all three "Mega Man" games, you'll unlock the ability to challenge "Wily Tower", a unique experience to the Sega Genesis, which mixes in elements from all three "Mega Man" games into three NEW enemy stages, and four Wily stages, including a brand new Final Boss fight! I think the game said it best, when it said "Fight, Mega Man, for everlasting justice!" I did, and I highly recommend it, to players looking for a good challenge. Enough said, true believers!
