Megaman X3 is definitely a worthly game in it's series and if you are a fan and have a PC i suggest you get it
If you have played Megaman X3 on the SNES then you know the game. But if you've never played it's like the others before this where you got 8 maverick hunters to defeat and the final stages later on. Also what is good is you get to play as Zero throughout the opening and the maverick levels, however you can't use him to fight the bosses except the opening but with his abilities it would make the bosses too easy i reckon. Also you may encounter some other bosses throughout some levels where usually the room would be empty. If you played X2 you will know what i mean. Also in the final stages someone from the past comes back to face you as well as well as the "mysterious" last boss.
Throughout the levels you have the blue capsules with the upgrades to megaman and included in this game is a pink capsule which can give megaman a special upgrade but you only can give 1 of 4, however there is also a secret armor hidden throughout a level which enables you to equip all 4 special upgrades. But of course it won't be so easy for you to get. It just doesn't require you to find the location but certain things you must collect before you can get the armor.
The PC version includes movie clips throughout the game which are quite cool to watch. Clips appear from the intro, the entrances of the mavericks and the ending. Also what is better the music and sound, both sound much better on the PC than the SNES version. It seems like they were remastered or somewhat but it sounds much better.
Even though the game is quite old itself it's still a great and fun as are all the megaman games. The Requirements for the game are very low so nobody should have trouble running the game. Pentium 90--16mb ram, i used a 2mb Video Card which ran fine and as for hard drive space would need much since the game runs itself from the cd. I recommend this great action shooter for young children to even adults, and no one should have trouble running this game and should be very cheap in store if it still is. A must get!!
