An excellent start for the entire Mega Man series.
Gameplay: The gameplay is all born here. You run, you jump, you shoot and you get power-ups. In the beginning of the game, you are asked to select one of six bosses: Cut Man, Guts Man, Ice Man, Bomb Man, Fire Man and Elec Man. Once you pick a stage, the game picks a random point bonus awarded to you at the end of the stage. When you beat a boss, you get the boss's special weapon. You can use that weapon on other bosses. Once you beat all the bosses shown in the stage selection screen, you have the option to go to Dr. Wily's fortress. Dr. Wily is Mega Man's arch-nemesis. Like I said, the gameplay is what you'd expect from another Mega Man game, but here are some differences: MM1 is the only Mega Man game with a score system besides Mega Man: Powered Up for the PSP, there are no E-Tanks and no Password system, and even when you're flashing (you flash when you get hit by an enemy), when you touch the spikes, you automatticly get killed no matter what. But hey - It's still Mega Man.
Graphics: The graphics are better than most other NES games.
Sound: The sound is nearly the same from all of the NES games.
Value: Retro gamers will have no problem playing this game again and again.
Tilt: All in all, Mega Man (1) for the NES is an excellent start for the entire Mega Man series. The controls are near-perfect and the graphics are better than other NES games. A must-own for any Mega Man fan.
