It has been a long time since I have played a game that I could drop everything and just sit there for hours and play. I started playing Mercenaries I was thinking ok simple shoot 'em up. Boy was I wrong! The missions are not as easy as I expected, although it is easy to learn. The graphics give you a feel of being in the war torn country of _____. The amount and type of vehicles available are ridiculous! You have the option of using the available vehicle(s) or having the Chinese Mafia deliver the vehicle of your choice! Cars, Sports cars, pick up trucks, delivery vans, pick up trucks with mounted weapons, jeeps, several different types of APC’s, Tanks, Anti-Air vehicles, Anti-Personnel vehicles, SUV’s, Helicopters, and on and on and on…But I think my favorite aspect of the game is the fact that you are not limited by the weapons you carry. Facing a small army? The mafia will deliver just about any type of artillery or aerial or ground support you need! (provided you have the money). I think I’ll be hooked on this on for a while. To tell you how much I love this game I got Far Cry and Ninja Giaden Black at the same time, I tried the other two out and haven’t played them since that night.
