Welcome to another barulez review for Mercenaries. I never heard of that game until a commercial shows it and I'm suprised and want that game however, due to popularity, Mercenaries is a hard game to find. I went through all the stores close to me and didn't find it. Finally, I found a used Mercenaries and I kept playing every since. Here how the games works. You pick one of the three Mercenaries. Then, they send you to North Korea to capture 52 members like a card deck. The great thing about Mercenaries is the sense of freedom. Like GTA, you can do whatever you want to do. You can steal a car, blow things up and create choas as you see fit. You need to do one thing, earn money. Money is hard to come by. Thats why missions are for. The more missions you do, the more money you get and closer to get the Ace Of Spades. It won't be easy though. Each card has more soldiers to protect themselves and watch out for their artillery. Also, the money you earn can buy weapon drop offs, vehicles and air strikes. I like the air strikes because they can help your missions. Next, the graphics are very good for a PS2. Although the Xbox has better graphics but it doesnt mean the PS2 version is bad. The interactivity is superb and it makes you that you are in a Korean War. Also, sound design is good as well. The machine guns firing and the vehicles sound very nice. One other thing, make sure you check the Factions- which is a diagram showing each member of a community from Hostile to Friendly. As long as you make the Mafians happy, you still can buy weapons from them. If the group is hostile, except North Korea, you can bribe them and you be able to do missions for them. Well, there you go. Blow up, steal, buy weapons and you will survive. Well, this is barulez saying, "Have fun and Dang!!!!"
