This game is a winner in my home, because my kids love it and it doesn't have the gory violence of other good games. I'm surprised the Gamespot reviewer didn't notice the similarities to Halo: last-of-a-kind super soldier/bot/borg gets resurrected for the oncoming fight; Glitch even resembles MasterChief; Grunts are a lot like the, well, Grunts of Halo, Elite Grunts, gee, like the Elites of Halo, Zombiebots and Spiders a lot like the Flood Warriors and Spores; my favorite similarity is the race against time in the RAT, so much like the race in the Halo Warthog. By no means do I mean to complain about the similarities, because they work so well, without any pretense or apologies. I mean, I could go on about how Halo borrowed from Half-Life, which borrowed from Doom, etc.
I highly recommend Metal Arms and so do my kids.
