If you enjoyed MGA, then this is something you should not look past....

User Rating: 8.9 | Metal Gear Acid 2 PSP
Wow! When Konami said that this game wasn't just the "Second" but rather the 2 meant it was exponentially better, they hit the nail on the head. MGA2 is a huge jump in gameplay than it was in the previous game.

Gameplay 9/10
The gameplay is smoother and much more accessable. It gives it more of the Metal Gear Solid type feel even though it is still an Acid game. The only part that really angers me is when you are in search mode and you accidently make a step in the wrong direction, you cannot correct that, even though you didn't get spotted. Aside from that, it is great. The umber of cards has increased dramatically and now it adds for so much diversity in decks. Plus if you have a card you really like, you can upgrade it for something more powerful and possibly have a higher HIT and lower Cost. There are so many bosses as well. You fight a total of 5 bosses (not including the second time you fight Vince) and 2 Metal Gears. The good part about the Metal Gears is you don't need the Missles to kill them in this one, unlike the past one where you did or you could do like 5 damage to it with your gun. Another plus is the added Arena. In the last game you could have seen a card you wanted in the Singles Card Shop but didn't have enough money. Never fear, as you can now go to some arena battles until you save up enough and go back and it will still be in the exact same spot.

Graphics 8/10
The graphics are pretty good and do what they are meant to do, but it just doesn't feel as real life looking as MGA1 did. When you played MGA1, Snake looked like he came from MGS2, but in this one he seems a little cartoony, which is what they were going for. I personally think the old type of graphics were better, but this is more colorful that's for sure.

Sound 10/10
Although there is very little voice acting (Only the voices of the people getting shot or dying) it doesn't take away from the sound. The music is what you would expect, calm when you are sneaking around from shelf to wall to box, and it gets intence and fast when you're spotted. The main boss music is pretty awesome though. I like the music for when your fighting Vince. As for guns and explosions, perfect. They fire fast and explode with all the noise possible. It's flawless.

Value 9/10
It's easily replayable for over 200 hours. It takes a long time to collect EVERY card. I find myself fine tuning my deck constantly to find the perfect 2 decks for any situation, whether it be a normal mission or taking down metal gear himself. Plus it is just fun. The story could use a little tinkering as it is on the short side for a MG game, but it is good none the less. This is a must buy, trust me. Even if you never played the first, get this, it is worth every penny (although that Metal Gear Eye thing is so stupid...).
