Metal Gear Ac!d 2 feels like a Metal Gear game.

If you haven’t already knew, Metal Gear Ac!d 2 is obviously the second game in the Ac!d series… wow, that was completely pointless. Anyway, this game has the same gameplay as it’s predecessor, with the card battling system. This time, it features more than five hundred cards, a new story and a “Solid Eye” feature.

Because I haven’t played the first Metal Gear Ac!d game, I can only assume that this game picks off where the first one ended… I’m probably wrong but whatever. Anyway, I’m going to break it down for you.

Gameplay: This game works really well. Although it’s a card battling game, it requires a lot of skill and strategy. It’s also exciting to find the bosses and foes that develop over the course of the game.

Graphics: Konami tried cell-shaded graphics this time round and it looks really good. Great visual effects and detail. Many explosions to see and with the Solid-Eye gimmick, it makes everything in three dimensional for all your eye straining needs. The stills in the cinematics dramatically drops the graphic score of this game.

Sound: In my opinion, the sound is probably the worst feature in this game. The cinematics are all subtitles and have no voice acting. Although the weapons and explosions sound nice, for me, the voice acting is probably one of the most haves that wasn’t there.

Value: With over five hundred cards to unlock and a multiplayer mode to go through, the value of this game is moderately good. The main story would probably be played twice or thrice.

Tilt: This is a Metal Gear game no matter what the gameplay is like. The story is exciting to follow and the overall game fells like a Metal Gear game. It is very addicting and rewarding when goals are accomplished.
