I was turned off the MGS franchise after I played MGS2. I hated the game for its serious lack of gameplay in contrast to spoon-fed stories and mind-numbing codec conversations. Now Acid on the other hand is a more consistent kind of game: it's a turn-based strategy game. So you'll never be playing in intense fashion and then suddenly have to watch a video: the game is already one of patience and strategizing.

Basically, if you are an old-school gamer who liked turn based strategy games, you'll enjoy Acid. I could even go as far as calling it sort of an RPG game, because the gameplay is very similar to that of a turn based RPG, except for the levelling up and fantasy elements.

So long story short, good job Konami. I bought this game because it was in the bargain bin and my only hope was that it would be a decently playable game that hopefully wouldn't feature tons of videos, but what I got was an addictive and fun game which I look forward to finishing.
