.Metal gear acid... *sigh* totally not what the fan base would have expected. If you really want to try it out I would suggest renting it first. Trust me, if your looking for a 3D action, covert game this is not what you’re looking for. However if you are looking for a turn base strategy game with a huge learning curve and your favorite Metal gear characters then by all means go out and get it. The game starts with a very very very long intro. The art is nice, but it would have been better if it were animated. There are no 3D movies in the game, which was another disappointment. When you finally get to control snake there is a tutorial on how to control snake with a deck of cards. Because as we all know, life is controlled by a deck of cards. Anyway you can use almost any card in the deck to move. Don't worry though the cards don't disappear forever after you use it. You just have to wait till you use all the cards in the deck and then it re-shuffles your selected deck. The world is sorts #D but you move snake as if the world were a board game. So it's not really full 3D in my opinion. I honestly think this game would have been a little better on the DS. The Stylus control would have made the game a lot better and my score would go from 3 out of 10 to 4.5 out of 10. I think they should have made this game with characters from pokemon, digimon, or some other new characters and had it be a totally new game. People might not have been so disappointed. Because of no movies, no full 3D, and simpleness to the game. The one good thing out of all the bad is that the battery life is the longest out of any other PSP game I've played. So if you’re in for a long trip without being able to recharge this might be the game for you. Just remember to rent it before you make any vacation plans.
