A game that should have stayed cancelled
The beginning of the game there's no scene setting its just "oh hey its Raiden in a car" then you're flopped into the action. There's no sense of stealth in the game he's suppose to be a cyborg ninja but it comes off more like a baby duck just learning to walk. The ninja run is horrible you end up diving off a box sideways dropping right into the enemies line of sight. Hiding in the cardboard box or Drum can is pointless if the enemy walks withing 5 feet of you they know you're in it. Another point the use of items is nonexistent I used one of the healing things during the game and that was just to see what it does. The homing missiles are useless the RPG has no logic I had an Enemy standing right in my face blasted him with an RPG and took no damage how does that work? I should have been plastered against the wall. Speaking of plastered against the wall the number of times the enemy throws you into the air is bat **** crazy. The when deflecting an attack animations seemed like a rushed tacked on at the end of production thing its jerky with no fluid to it at all and opens you up to attacks from any other direction while your character takes the 5 seconds to move.
More game play point outs. The Boss fights were sub-par even the ending fight was like "okay there's gonna be another fight after this that will be a blood bath" but nope lack luster ending no panic race to get away no car chases no nothing just over. Also the "you can't win this" fights are just stupid put it as a cut scene and let me believe I'm the baddest man on the planet during game play.
The length of the game is another killer I was hoping for another Kojima masterpiece instead I got what seems like a money grab. Ya know those games they put about 5 hours of work into then throw it out and hope it makes enough money to pay their employees while they work on the actual game they want to make. Graphics...where do i even start with it. Yes some things looks "good" but after the 5th or 6th thing you cut into pieces you realize they all look the same on the inside. I was hoping for a little more gore seeing I'm cutting people into little bitty chunks maybe a stomach flying across the screen or some poor guys testicles getting stepped on something to really make you go OH SNAP I RIPPED HIM APART.
Another thing that just made my stomach flop is the ending credits. There are more people that worked on the music than the actual game. Maybe next time they'll get Raiden's voice actor a lozenge before he goes to the mic cause he sounded like **** it was like he smoked a carton of cigs every day for 50 years then growled into a paper bag at least they didn't give him the Mr.Roboto voice wait that might have been an improvement.
Overall if you're 12 years old and love hearing the F word this is the perfect game for you for everyone else this is a definite pass.
