Two years have passed since the Shadow Moses incident and currently, the technology of Metal Gear is out in the black market, which makes it no longer a top secret weapon, all thanks to Ocelot, who got away with the experimental test data on the previous exercise of Metal Gear Rex. Snake and Otacon are now at work with an organization that goes by the name of Philanthropy (don’t know if that’s spelled right) that devotes itself to rid the world of the various Metal Gear versions scattered through out the world. One day, the organization Philanthropy received classified intelligence that a new Metal Gear was schedule for transport and this is where the story really begins…… Let’s start with the gameplay. Since this is PS2 there is a huge difference between this game and the previous one. You are now able to shoot in first-person view mode, peek on corners, perform jump-out shots, use an enemy soldier as a human shield, hang on railings, perform a roll over the enemies to get out of tight situations, and the coolest addition is that you can actually play with the environment. For example: if you find yourself in a room with, shall we say, a shelve full of bottles you can break them, shoot them and they will respond in a realistic way. Moving on to sound: absolutely stunning. Harry did a marvellous job. The sound matches perfectly every single cut scene in the game. Graphics: This is PS2. What do you expect? For all the lovers of this great series, run ot the store and buy this game now.
