Metal Gear Solid 1 had an odd story with lots of twists but ultimately made some sense in the end. Metal Gear Solid 2's story though is very convoluted and hard to decipher, it gets ridiculous near the end too. The dialouge is often overdone and overacted and most of it is irrelevant and unncecesary. I also would like to express my feelings that the gameplay, although solid, is not even close to games with the same idea such as Splinter Cell. With all these complaints though I still found myself enjoying my playthrough of this game and really being concerned about the story and what would happen next. Despite the silliness of it all the game and its plot are really cool and epic and the production is well done. I was bothered by where the story went but still liked it for some reason. Sometimes the camera and controls are a problem for me with Metal Gear Solid not because they're unresponsive but because they arent really well suited towards the style of play and often youll be doing more fighting then you feel you should. Still though fans of the series should get it and the extras are entertaining enough.
