I will review this game as if it just came out today. You won't believe the review!

User Rating: 9.3 | Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty (Mega Hits!) PS2
First thing’s first, I’m reviewing this game like it was released today. No doubt about it, it was an instant class when it was release four years ago. Now I am going to see if this instant classic going to great today.

This game actually has two settings. The first part of the game, you play as the legendary, Solid Snake on a tanker. Your mission objective is to find evidence that a new Metal Gear actually exists. You’ll have to sneak throughout the tanker and finally find yourself in a room where Metal Gear is held. There, you have to take pictures of it proving that it exists. There is a twist during the whole thing, and Snake dies. I won’t go into further detail due to some spoilers.

Two years after the mission on that tanker. You play as Raiden and this time you play on a oilrig sort of environment. He isn’t much like Snake because this is only his first real mission. There are multiple missions when you play as Raiden. But the main mission is to rescue the President of the United States. Other missions will be present during your main objective. There is a terrorist group that call themselves “The Sons of Liberty” and Solid Snake is supposedly the leader of the group. But, Raiden is informed that it’s not “the” Solid Snake because he died in the tanker two years ago. There’s are more twists and turns and the ending of this great game will have you on your head!

I will know break the game down into sections. Just like GameSpot does. Gameplay: The gameplay in this game is awesome. The controls are really well placed. And if you played Metal Gear Solid, then you’ll somewhat recognize some of the controls. With easy controls, you tend to play without having to think about what buttons to press. That makes this game that much more enjoying to play. Graphics: Although this game was made four years ago, the graphics are still pretty impressive. This game would still be one of the top games for it’s graphics if it was release right now. It’s unbelievable when you look back at it. The only thing that’s a down side is the environments. They aren’t very detailed and should’ve been more intractable. Either than that, the graphics in this will not disappoint.

Sound: There’s not much to say about the sound. The sound effects are awesome and the story is told through cut-scenes, that are very well recorded. Every character has a unique voice that really brings the story to life. I would bet that there’s no game out there right now that would compare to this game’s sound. Except for it’s prequel, Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater.

Value: Hmmm, let’s see… this game was released in November 12th, 2001 and I don’t think that I would waste my time reviewing a game that no one would play. So, why don’t you tell me?

Tilt: I wouldn’t review this game if I didn’t like it right?

(Obviously, I got tired at the end of this review).
