I never use to like this game, I now think it is a very good game, but not quite amazing.

Lets start of by saying; I got this game as soon as i could when i got the PS2. After playing the first metal gear solid game on the PS1, I didn't really think MGS2 was really that great compared to the first. However i have recently started playing the game, and i think that it is nearly as good as the first. I love the script, the look, and everything else on it. Considering it was one of the earlier games released on the PS2 the graphics are stunning, from the sea and the light reflecting off of it, to the buildings, and people, with quite detailed graphs. When I first played the game one of the main things that put me off was the fact that it was a really short game compared to the first one. I mean I have seen people complete the game in 2 hours. Then I realised there was so many other things you can do, for instance collecting dog tags, depending on how many dog tags you collect, you can unlock new items. It is also has some of the most memorable and amusing quotes, for instance Roy Campbell says,
"I hear it's amazing when the purple stuffed worm from flap jaw space, does a raw blink on Hari Kiri rock! I need scissors! 61!" This game now is up now high in my favourite games. I would recommend this game and any other metal gear games.
