MGS2, was a great title, and Kojima-san's first foray on PS2 for the series. It was excellent, although a weird story.

MGS2's only real failing was in the decptive manuever of replacing snake for 60% of the game with raiden. It's not that i hate raiden, but being duped into believing this was snake's adventure, only to discover it wasn't was disconcerting to say the least. (the kindest synonym for -furious- i could come up with).

Once you get past that the gameplay is the highpoint here. It is tighter than ever, with engaging bosses, that are in true konami fashion among the best you'll ever find, verging on supernatural but not quite (another staple of the series).

The goofy thing is the story line becomes anti-climactis towards the end, and on occasion leads the player to believe their PS2 is broken. Curious, yeah, but we should expect that from Kojima-san.

Bottom line this game is -still- a steal at 12-15$ dollars, and it's everywhere. If you don't have it, go get it for your library.
