The Metal Gear Solid games have always been fun. Though some people would at times have a "eh?" moment with the plot and Snake eater is more of the same. If you're a fan of the Metal Gear Series (a total of 6 games now, and that includes the crappy Solid Snake game on the NES and the Metal Gear game that STILL has not made it to America) then by all means you should have gotten ths game by now, if you're unsure of the whole stealth concept, try pick up MGS 2 in the Players Choice bin to see if it's a type of play you want to get into. Ok..about the game. Snake eater's biggest change is the fact that 95% of the time your out in the open. Forest, swamp, river..you get the idea. It's a nice change and the new cammo system is really cool but if you try to never get noticed..you're gonna slow down the game a bit, as in..move a bit..stop...move some more. Other then that..no complaits..it's a nice change and a welcome one at that. The best thing about the MG series for me was always the boss battles. I don't know if it's because of the fact it's the same programing team or they just couldn't come up with intresting foes this time around. When I mean intresting, I mean, "How the heck do you kill this guy?" intresting. I managed to.... possible hint so if you want to figure things out for your self..skip one paragraph. take out nearly all the bosses with the damn Shotgun. When I won the sniper duel with a 12 gauge I knew that they were not as creative as they used to be. Or I've learned every trick in their bag. To bad really. All in all..great addition to the series but it is starting to get a bit old. Though old isn't always a bad thing (lets hear it for the return of the Combat Knife). As I've said..if your a fan..you should have picked up this game already. If not this game will not change how you feel about the series..and if your new. Pick it up..you just might be surprised and enjoy yourself.
