The 60s was an awsome time
The game takes place in the 1960s during the cold war where a CIA agent codenamed naked snake, but hold on the "naked" refers to him not starting with any equipment, he is fully clothed. Anyway Snake is drooped behind enemy lines on a mission to rescue a Russian scientist. Now I could go on for hours about the story but I have to tell you about the controls, graphics and other what not
Controls
The controls of Metal Gear solid 3 will be 2nd nature for a MGS fan but to new comers it might take little while to get use to it. The game does pressure sensitive controls very well. For one thing every button that you may need to press during the game is easily accessible.
Graphics
The graphics in MGS3 are awesome, everything is rendered in realtime for example if you put a mask on, you will be wearing the mask in the cutscenes, speaking of which I hope you love cutscenes because there is a lot of them, fortunately I love the cutscenes in this game
The Bad
while there isn't to much bad about MGS3, there are some things that are not for everyone namely 20 minute cutscenes and if you know anything about MGS storys they are odd to say the lease. There is no way to say just how odd the hideo kojima's storys are
overall
If you like the other MGS games this will be right up your alley, if not you don't have to but you should play the first two games first I give Metal Gear sold it three
