A must buy for the PS2.
User Rating: 10 | Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater PS2
As in the previous games the game bases itself in trying to stay hidden from enemy guards but as in the previous games where you played as Snake and as Raiden you will play as Big Boss (Snake’s Father). This new game features all the gameplay of the previous games but in addition you will have several new features such as the stamina gauge witch will start to drop after you have been a while out in the field and to replenish it you will have to hunt for food, animals and plants. Another cool addition is that you will have camouflage in order to stay better hidden. You will also have to treat your wounds in this game such as gunshot wounds, burns and food poisoning but in my opinion the coolest addition to this prequel is CQC (Close Quarters Combat). This feature allows you to grab enemies and get some information out of them. You can also slit their throats and use them as a human shield. The characters are all fantastic especially The Boss (Snake’s mentor). New guns have also been added to the game such as the shotgun (useful at close range). The graphics in my opinion are the best out of the 3 games. The soundtrack is just perfect. Harry has done a heck of a job just like in MGS 2. Overall this is the masterpiece off all the MGS games.
