great gameplay, good story, some nice extras and enough camoflouge to supply a small army

What can i say about metal gear? i was a little dissapointed when i heard that the story would be going backwards instead of forward so i did not purchase it when it was released but when a friend offered it to me for half it's retail price i could not pass up the chance to take a look at what Snake Eater had to give. I was impressed at how they kept everything together so it would not interfear with the future of the timeline. The characters were good. I liked the bad guys of this game more than the good guys. Snake in this game may be good but he is a bad guy at heart. The story may be a little short but that gives for multiple runs through the campaign. I had to go through the story a couple of times to get everything Snake could play with. That included hunting down monkey's in a extra mode and downloading some extras online. The amount of gadgets, guns, items, food,masks, facepaints and uniforms is good. I liked mixing and matching all the different outfits Snake could wear in battle. I even enjoyed the staminia aspect of the game, having to eat animals that would catch. I also thought healing each and every wound that Snake would get was a great touch. Overall i think it was a great game, not better than the first or second in the series but just as equally good as those classics.
