I've played the whole series of metal gear, but this one, was the most impressive.

Metal Gear Solid 3 is a incredible game, all the stories of Metal Gear can be understood if you first play this game, because in this one you are the legendary Big Boss (a.k.a. Naked Snake), the father of Solid, Liquid and Solidus Snake, if you play this game first, you could understand better the storyline of the Metal Gear games, and this game simply have a great storyline, great graphics for a PS2 game, I guess one of the best I have ever seen, great sound effects, pretty good soundtracks, and some innovations : the survival viewer was one of the principals, because this was the first Metal Gear where you could choose your items, weapons, cure wounds, chose options of the game (in side the game whenever you want), chose your camouflage, see the character, choose face-paints.The camouflages and face-paints can be unlocked, downloaded, found (just like weapons) and can help you to hide, some of then reduce the damage of certain kinds of attacks, like guns, flamethrowers, missiles, etc. so they are essential to survive.And the other principal innovations are the CQC movements, that helps you a lot because you can throw enemies and knock the out instantly, do a choke hold, break their neck, cut their throat, throw then on the floor (after a choke hold), interrogate. The environments are varied, there are maps in the forests, labs, mountains, so it's pretty cool play in different places and don't be tied in a only place like happens on metal gear solid 2, where you can just play on the Big Shell, and very close to the end, you play on Arsenal Gear and the Federal Hall of Washington (the final battle with Solidus).
Some things are still the similar like the hold-ups, some controls, some special items (like stealth) but they are not so visible like the innovations.
In my opinion this the best Metal Gear ever, and I guess that every Metal Gear series fan should play it.
