This is a great game. It truly is a masterpiece. One of the best PS2 games!
Metal gear Solid 3 Subsistence is a special edition to Metal Gear Solid 3 Snake Eater. It has many new game modes and extras. It contains 2 disks. Disk One has the FULL MGS 3 Snake Eater game with an all new camera that lets you control it. It makes the game more fun and a bit easier. It also has new difficulty settings, so if you think you're up to it try it out. European Extreme is one difficulty setting thats is the HARDEST. In European Extreme You must beat the game without getting any alerts. If you get an Alert...Its GAME OVER.
This game also has all the old camouflage from Snake eater and all new Camouflage and Face Paints.
Disk Two contains an Online mode. This is the best mode after you beat the game. It allows up to 8 Players to duke it out for online supremacy. There are 5 game types. Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, Sneaking Mission, Capture Mission, and Rescue Mission.
Sneaking Mission is a one-vs.-many battle between Snake and the enemy. The player who is Snake must steal the microfilm and take it to the goal to win. The enemy players must keep the microfilm safe to win.
Capture Mission is basically Capture the Flag but instead you must capture a Kerotan. Kerotan is a frog but it doesn't move in the game.
Rescue Mission is a gametype where Two teams duke it out over a GA-KO within the stage. The Red Team wins if they protect the GA-KO until time runs out. The Blue Team wins if they bring the
GA-KO to the goal.
There are many different Online maps and playing Online is a very enjoyable experience. Also, you can play as the different characters found in the main game. Ocelots, KGB, GRU.
Disk Two also contains NEW and old Snake VS Monkey mini games, a Theater Mode where you can watch all the in game cutscenes, remade Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2:Solid Snake games from the MSX, and it also contains a Boss Duel mode where it lets you face off against the bosses in the game.
In conclusion, this is a great game and I recommend it toe everybody. If you're not a MGS fan don't worry, this game takes place before any of the other Metal Gear Solids. It has a rich storyline and it is very interesting. Go Ahead, Buy It.
