I began playing the MGS series ever since it first came out. I fell in love with the gameplay and pretty much everything about the game. As many of us change in personality wise, my gameplay style preference has changed from MGS type of games. Therefore, my review may be different from many other people’s point of view.

I played this game for the purpose of continuing the story without expecting anything more or less. The gameplay is pretty much the same as it was from the beginning. It consists of sneak, hide, shoot, run, crawl, hide bodies, etc. In the end, story is what I mainly got out of the game. In other words, it met my expectations and nothing more.

One major changes that I’m seeing as the MGS series continue is that the gameplay is beginning to seem more realistic than just a gameplay. In other words, things such as healing yourself with different kinds of med kits is probably more realistic than simply taking a ration and feeling all better. Therefore, I would like to mention, if you are those who enjoys patient games with realistic gameplay experience, then MGS will be the game for you. I will continue to play the game even for PS3 just to continue on with the story without expecting anything more. However, MGS for PS3 may be totally different due to its capability to perform much much more than our old school (Yet still EXCELLENT) PS2.
