the gameplay is great because ähh..its great thats the reason.
The story is very complex but great and intelligent.
ITS A MUST BUY FOR EVERY GAMER!!!

I think gamespots score is to low because this game has more weapons, action and cool video footage.
Its much greater than the first metal gear. BUY BUY BUY thats what im saying its an extrem cool Action Espionage Game with lots of extras like the ape escape games and many more. The graphic is much better than in the 2nd Metal Gear. The sound is composed by Harry Gregson Williams and its great.

At least if you want to play one of the Ultra Bomb Games than buy MGS3!
