Whether your crazy about Metal Gear Solid, just a normal fan, or have no experience with the series at all, this is an amazing game all the same. Just like most of the games in the series, Snake, -or Big Boss in his early days- with the new code name of Naked Snake, is dropped into enemy territory, the jungle, during the Cold War.
If you played MGS2 you'll be familiar with the controls. It's pretty easy to operate and get the hang off if you experiment in the first area of the game for a few minutes. As for the story, if you're one that likes to skip cutscenes and get right to the gameplay, please make an exception with MGS3. This game quite possibly has the best story in years, and trust me you do not want to miss out on it.
I do not want to give anything away, but I will say this, this has one of the best video game endings ever. With the expection of a few flaws -like bad lip syncing and a birds eye camera view that doesn't work well in this case- Metal Gear Solid 3 is the best game to come from Hideo Kojima and maybe Konami all it's own.
