One of the best games I have played ever. Not only is the gameplay awsome, the story will leave you breathless.

User Rating: 9.8 | Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater PS2
The first time I saw this game in action was when the demo came out. While the demo didn't end in cliff hanger that left you wanting more, like the first two Metal Gear Solid games, the gameplay and graphics were just so awsome, that it left my mouth watering. I must say that this game has the best graphics for any Playstation 2 game, and I honestly think that its graphics are better than Halo 2's. Another thing that made the graphics great, was the fact that Hideo used motion actors for the character movements during every scene and in the regular gameplay, which helped to maked the characters seem more realistic. Another thing that makes Metal Gear Solid 3 a masterpiece is the gameplay. This in fact is probably the best thing about the game. While much Metal Gear Solid 2 was spent watching cutscenes, much Metal Gear Solid 3 will be spent sneaking around or killng the enemy. The knife and CQC add a whole new depth to the core MGS gameplay. Now you are not limited to a punch-punch-kick combo or a simple body throw. You can grab the enemies, use them as a shield and fire at their friends. You can throw the enemy to the ground and fight them hand to hand, and then you will truly feel like a badass. The camoflauge also adds more depth. Without the radar, Snake is pretty much "naked" and blind to the enemy's presence. While You are sneaking into the deep of the jungle, you feel the intensitiy as you see your camoflauge index drop. Having the facepaint just made u feel like you were rambo or Bruce willis.. Bravo Hideo, Bravo. He suceeded in creating a game that made me feel like I was a badass action hero. The food was a cool idead, although I wish that your stamina would go down a lot slower than it actually did. But that wasn't even a major distraction that took away from the core gameplay, because the game's intensity was magnified as you had to hunt for food as well as be alert to the presence of the enemy. The games sound is just superb. Listen to all the enemy's footprints, the rustling of the trees and the animals in surround sound is just awsome. You feel like you really in the jungle. And then the End boss fight. Wow that was just killer. That fight lasts for about an hour the first time through. It's unique in that there is no boss music, it is the only boss that isn't fought in an arcadic manner , and you have to apply all your gameplay techniques into the boss. The game's story is still just as great as the rest of the series, albeit a lot more simple. For those who felt jaded by MGS2s long story, do not fear, the dialouge in this game has been significantly reduced and instead of long scenes you get great action sequences (i.e. the motorcycle chase scene).
All in all this game is a must have perfect in everyway. After you beat this game you will want to jump right back to your controller and start playing again, that's if you are able to fight back the tears at the end of the game. The only reason It didn't get a 10 from me was because I am waitng to give it to subsistence (which should get a 12 at least in my opinion).
