It is the best MGS since the PS MGS1

First off let me say that the day I got this game was one of the happiest days of my life. The game starts off with the usual half hour long movie followed by a long codec speech. after that you get let loose and off you go to blasting all the furry bunnys and all of mother natures other pets.

The graphics were amazing, the best the PS2 has seen in a while

The sounds of the gunshots and explosions were the coolest. and the guns sounded like the real things. And the M1911 is included too (My all-time favorite gun) since the game takes place during the cold war.

I'm a big fan of the series and this game was no let down at all. EXCEPT the snake vs. monkey game which I thought was a little bit off from all the busted knee caps and shots to the head.

It took me about 7 or 8 hours to beat but the story alone was worth replaying the game another twenty or thirty times.

MGS3 was so good i'd probably even consider paying $100 for it. No doubt about it, if you liked the other Metal Gear games then this one is sure to be a BIG hit.
