\there is just so much to say about this game read my full review for more important details.
Graphics- 10
the best i have seen in a PS2 game so far that is, the water looks real, the jungle looks fantastic the backgrounds are amazing, character models look good, i mean everything just look so good.
Audio- 9
What can i say, everything sounds good, form the chirping birds to the alligator roars and the sound of water, and of course the sound of gunshots and uhhm i dont know why im saying this becoz i like hip-hop but somehow i liked the main soundtrack in the intro movie but yea.
Gameplay- 10
Big part of what makes this game so good. This game is just so realistic.
SHooting snakes that are hanging on a branch to turn it into food can be fun, or maybe shooting alligators?,or different birds, or fruits and vegetables for food can also be fun at times. You will need to look for food if you want to keep Snake(main character)'s stamina high. the camouflage system is great, you can change camo's any time to blend in with whatever environment ypu are in, jungle,urban, tunnels, caves, water, etc. Also another part of what makes this game so good are the environments. It is really fun to just walk or crawl into different environments, caves,tunnels,sewers, laboratories, swamps, mangrove forests, lakes, etc. ALso boss battles are probably the main highlight of this game. all of them are pretty damn good and are really fun to play. Even though, sorry for spoiling this but anyway, "The end" will test ur skills and patienece, he will really test your endurance, it took me an hour and a half to beat him, but nontheless it was really fun. Actually i got lucky since some people had to battle him for like 3 hours so yea.
weapons and gadgets- ,a survival knife for hunting creatures, Ak47's, M16's , Revolvers, Handguns, tranguilizer pistols, tranquilizer sniper , a Regular sniper rifle, Rocket launchers, shotguns, submachineguns, i can just keep going on and on and on bout all the weapons you can find and use all through out the game and trust me when i say this all of them are seful in its own right.
some gadgets you can find in the game are, thermal goggles,nightvision goggles, mine detector, AP sensor, motion detectors, cigar spray even though i think that falls into weapons category i think, but yea usual metal gear gadgets and stuff like that. but i dont have to keep going on with this cause there are just too many of them.

This game can take about 15 hours to beat if you skip most of the cutscenes , but that is probably the fastest time u can beat the game in, or yea. it took me 17 hours and 18 minutes to beat it. Replay value is also high, Collecting all the items is fun and plus just going through every single part of the game is fun.
Story - 10
Here we go. This is the main thing that all metal gear solid games focus on, the story. Almos t every cutscene is like 5 to ten minutes long, but most of them are packed with alot of action. I'm still waiting for a Metal Gear Solid movie.
Overall if your just looking for a different experience from what you usually play , u should check this game out, or if your looking for a game with a really good storyline, or if your looking for a game that will last you for a long time ,or even if your just interested in stealth-action games you should definitely check htis game out, or if your looking for one of the best action games around for the PS2 then this is the game for you.
