this game is actually a pre-quel to the previous games in the series. it takes place in the 60s and you play as a younger version of big boss from the other mgs games aka naked snake. you mission is to rescue proffesor sokolov and to eliminate your old mentor, the boss. you'll also meet some characters from other mgs games in their younger version like ocelot

at first there's little playing time, but later at the start of the second mission, snake eater, the game gets a whole lot better. the way that you can swith between third person fixed camara view and first person mode for better aiming is very useful. using third peson is best for running, shooting, sneeking around, and close combat. first person is best for better shooting and for getting a better view of whats around you.

the sound and graphics og the game are amazing. unlike other games, the graphics from cut scenes are also the same when you're playing. overall, the game is about 9 ours long and it's filled with easter eggs. this is how games are meant to be.
