Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater is an amazing game. Without spoiling anything about the story, let it suffice to say that this game doesn't glorify war. And that in the process of rescuing a soviet weapons scientist, this game makes a very true political statement. It has a story that you will remember for years to come. The gameplay is what you make of it. Those who love to be stealthy will find some great features such as throat-slitting and interrogation of enemy guards. Those who love action will still have to rely a little upon stealth but will be more than capable of killing every enemy on the normal difficulty level. Though that isn't the idea of the game. On the highest difficulty, stealth is the only option, and boy is it a fun one. The only complaint that can be brought against the game is the camera angle. While it doesn't make the game unplayable, it will hinder you a bit. Eventually you get used to it. The graphics are stunning. The character models look great and are well detailed. The environment looks great as well though you won't be able to enjoy it except when using first person to aim your gun. Yes, there is a first person view, though you can't move around while in first person. In the end, the story, the gameplay, and the graphics all come together to make a memorable experience that shouldn't be missed by those that enjoy MGS games. If you can, I recommend that you get MGS 3:Sustenance. It fixes the camera problem, adds in a bunch of new features, and makes the game a whole lot better.
