Better then a USP and a Silancer
anyway now for the review.
MGS3 takes place during the cold war and before then events of the first and second game however it contains many characters from the 2nd and well 1st game but in younger forms. the enviroment is stunning and has the same detail as the 2nd game where almost everything reacts to your existance think birds giving away you postio, glass moving and droping down from trees and shooting from the cover of rotted logs.
The weapons are like wise from the cold war era and you'll be hard pressed to find anything with a laser targeter on it save a few guns, RPG, Colt .45, AK-47, XMP's and other guns and rifles all appear.
in the first release of this game the camera gave a birds eye view in most cases which didnt really fit the open enviroment but in this expansion you have complete control, well worth rebuying even if you have the orignal (like i did)
speaking of enviroment cammo plays an important part with the need to match face and clothing to your enviroment, stamina plays a part and carrying half a ton of tnt plus ammo and enough guns to end the war can take a toll on you the ony way to build up stamina is to hunt....well snakes mainly.
the animals in the game can all be hunted for food and eaten at your discretion, provided they dont go off before then, your tastes will gravitate to certain foods, snake seems to hate almost everything but snakes and rabbits but provided that you open his tastes to new things you should run out of his favourite food.
the games story line is one of the best, with all the betrayal and deciet that makes these series the best, all that said the extra discs that come with subsitance make in the best game EVER!!!
featuring in this package is a blooper theater online mode ( HELL FREAKIN YES!!!!!!) plus the first 2 orignal games befor his debute on PS1, also it contains extra cammos and face paints plus the MGS4 trailer from E3.
Overall it doesnt get better then this. a must have for all fans, and proof to anyone else that MGS is the one series that you need now, this review has barely scratched the surface and i can tell you after clocking this game more then 10 times i still find the game to have new slants and way in order to get through it, whether it be in a cardboard box or by the tip of a bullet snake eater is without a doubt the higlight of the ps2 series on MGS and in my opinion PS2 history itself
