Metal Gear Solid 3 does have its good share of problems mentioned. the camera is annoying when you need to intimatly know your suroundings; but I found a good camoflauge will give you all the time you need to look around and examine the situation. the story is slow to kick off (believe me, I've been through the intro 4 times!) and the prolouge mission is a bit aggrivating simply because of the learning curve, but it all leads to a better thing, I assure you. The enemies are just as stupid as before; you are forgotten just as easily as before and I suppose you could just run past them in certain areas instead of fighing atltogether. you will have to fight though: there is no running through this game (fights other than boss fights ofcourse.) the 7 and a half bosses themselves are both fun and challenging to play. except for 1 and a half of those bosses who didn't offer much enjoyment at all. (for those of you who know, these bosses were the fury and the sorrow; I caught the fury in a glitch of its stupidity and the sorrow, well to put it simply, I had 400 kills according to the end game status report. I was wading for a long time o_o ) The rest has pretty much already been summed up: good graphics, good sound, and voice acting that should be tuned here and there.
my biggest dissapointment of MGS3 is that I didn't find much use for the cardboard box this time around. that alone is probably half the reason why gameplay got an 8! x_x and I was so proud of my antique box collection from MGS2! at least they gave it a funny conversation starter with SIGINT.
In conclusion: yes, MGS3 has some annoying drawbacks, but its fun. if you wanted to relax in a hot tub you'd have to get used to the heat right?
