Metal Gear Solid 4 is probably the best game in our generation. The story falls upon a man with a codename Old Snake who has to stop his brother, liquid, from his insurrection, and his rein over the patriots. Liquid believes by taking over the SOP system (Sons Of the Patriots) he can control the soldiers all over the world and use them for himself. Snake quickly aging from a disease known as FOXDIE has to travel the world tracking liquid. Snake's old companions find liquid in the middle east. Snake accepts the mission.

In the game you play as Old Snake. The gameplay is mostly comprised of stealth. You use these stealth techniques to get past your foes unoticed. You can also shoot your guns for quick kills, and use CQC (close quarters combat). There are over 50 weapons at your disposal, and you can use them to your liking. Although the game encourages you to play in the stealth way, you could play the game as a shooter.

The graphics are visually stunning. Life like and next gen, MGS4 pushes the PS3 to it's limits. You can see how the characters are feeling by their expressions. Lighting effects and blood effects are well done and the hue and colour is just right.

The story is one of the best in videogames. With movie worthy scripting and dialogue, and the some of the best voice acting, the story will sure to keep you in your seat until the end. The story has a span of 6 games so it could be confusing to people who are playing the game without playing any of the previous games.

The controls can sometimes be hard to grasp. Every single button is used in the game, and it could take you a couple of days to figure out how to do all the awesome stealth moves and CQC.

Although the story has great replay value, and will atleast make you play it twice, their is the metal gear online add on. Each match has maximum 16 players and offers wide array of game modes like deathmatch, team deathmatch, stealth deathmatch, capture mission and base missions. This is a great way to enjoy the metal gear solid universe even when you beat the game several of times.

I highly reccomend this game to any PS3 owner, who don't have this game yet. It will offer you many hours of great story and addicting gameplay, and will offer you the online part which offers infinite hours of gameplay. For the price of one, you get two games. Metal Gear Solid 4 is the best game of all time.
