There is way too much to say about this masterpiece of a game. It is overall an amazing game on all levels.

Metal Gear Solid is a game that can leave any avid gamer that has played the metal gear series more than satisfied. The only reason not to play this game is if you've never played a metal gear game before. That is the only understandable reason. Due to the fact that the game teaches you just about nothing of the previous ones. This is not a flaw in the slightest, but it renders anyone playing this that hasn't played the other games completely overwhelmed and lost. Guns of the Patriots is a fast paced, funny, emotional drug. Side effects include sudden, random drops of jaw. Ignorance of poor personal hygiene until the damn boss dies, and high chances of eyeballs leaving sockets. This game follows Solid Snake as he continues his mission to kill the mastermind that is his clone brother Liquid Snake. Throughout all the espionage, Snake is as unfazed about the threat of death as a tank is unfazed by b-b gun shots. But Snake is rapidly growing old and nobody can possibly understand why, and there is no longer hope of any cure to arrive. This only drives Snake further to his goal of killing Liquid. Since liquid has an army of both man, and the actual near invincible machines that are metal gear, this imposes quite a challenge for one man. To end, I am going to state that this is NOT a game for someone that isn't familiar with the series, and if you are familiar with it, and you don't own this game, get yourself checked for insanity.
