Three Metal Gear Solid Classics in one! Did I mention they're in high definition?
These games still hold up very well today and is easily a must buy for anyone who missed their chance to play any of these games before. Even if someone has played through Sons of Liberty and Snake Eater more then a dozen times it is still worth getting just for Peace Walker. This game has been beefed up from the PSP version. Now supporting another analog stick for movement, online multiplayer, and the ability to share the same save file between the PSP and PS3 copies.
Metal Gear 2 and 3 are still brilliant but Peace Walker truly stands out with it's refined controls. Crouch-walking, moving and aiming, using the shoulder buttons to aim and shoot make it so much more enjoyable then it's PSP counterpart. It would have been great to see these controls meshed into Sons of Liberty and Snake Eater but that would have taken much more time and they would have to change a lot of elements in the games.
When you put together three games that people have classified as "Classics," you expect an amazing product. The Metal Gear Solid collection brings exactly that. The stories, characters, and content that so many fell in love with years ago is here now on one disc. A must-buy for any MGS fan.
