INTRO

i've been a mgs fan since the first mgs on ps1, but somehow ,when i played the demo of this game, i didn't felt excited about it. I don't know why. Maybe it was a mix between it not being a proper console game (although i played portable ops and i liked it a lot) and the stiffy controls. I bought it anyways and let me tell you, this is the BEST psp game i've played and its right up there with the console versions. This game is better than a lot of games of this current gen ( c'mon gamespot, 9.0?)

GAMEPLAY

Well, gameplay-wise this game is all about stealth. Maybe this seems pretty obvious, but i'm saying it anyway because that was not the case with mgs4 where you could finish it like an action game. This game has some complicated controls that force you to play it quietly. I mean, at first they are kind of a pain in the ass, but later on you get used to them and you feel that that was the only way they could pull this off. GRAPHICS

For a psp game the graphics are superb, especially when you are playing the boss battles. They are huge and there's a lot going on (explosions, destructible scenery). Also ,big boss' face is really well done and it reminds me about the graphics of ps2

DIFFICULTY

I've read some reviews saying this game is tough...not really. The boss battles are, but you CAN finish the game no matter what you've read. There's only one thing i'm having problems with, and that is the extra ops from moster hunter. Those are really hard and are best suited to be played in co op. (havent played co op though, but i've read its much easier)

STORY

This is a simple story compared to the other mgs titles, but its a good one. It fits nicely into the mgs overall story and it reminds you about the mgs3 storyline in particular. The animations are interactive and engaging, improving a lot from the ones shown in mgs port ops. I mean, you won't miss the in gamplay cutscenes...at least i didnt.

BOSS BATTLES

This time around the bosses are not really creative when it comes to characters. They are tanks and choppers and metal gear-like mechas, but they are massive and epic. There's been a couple of reviews **** about it, but i think that they are actually pretty cool and engaging. The last battle is epic as hell. I guess it's the most exhilarating battle i`ve had on a mgs title.

OVERALL

Well, i'm really pleased with MGS Peace walker. It has a great story, great graphic, HUGE boss battles and its very long. This is the best game i've played on a psp ( i guess also the best i'll ever play on the system). This is how a psp game should be made. This is not a poor port or recycled game from a console franchise. MGS PW is an original game that pushes the psp capabilities and its better than a lot of this gen games out there. GO GET THIS GAME !
