A worthy game for the PSP, but not for the Metal Gear series.

Frankly, the story sucks. The boss battles are boring and some are ridiculously difficult (and LONG). Most missions are repetitive especially the search missions...god, how many do they think people can stand?

Control scheme is good and gameplay is fun...for the first few hours. After that it's just dull. Story ignores key elements of the series' plot. We do not find out why Naked Snake turned 'bad' as we were promised, the Enfants Terribles project was completely ignored, as was Ocelot and it follows on from nothing - none of the events of Portable Ops are mentioned at all.

I'm a huge fan of the Metal Gear series and was quite ready to believe the hype, but I've been severely disappointed by this game. Certainly not worthy of classics such as the MGS, MGS2 (even this is better), MGS3 and 4.

I think even Portable Ops was better than this.
