A good game, but not a great game.
All right, so this entire review was done in single player.
OH MY GOD THESE BOSS BATTLES ARE COOL! When I heard the human battles had been ditched I was at first very mad, but than I fought the Pupa.
Holy crap that's cool.
The controls have a steep learning curve, as sadly, none of the control methods are any good, but they work I guess.
Another thing that makes me want to slap Kojima so hard his brains fly out his nose is the interactive cutscenes; Kojima, I know you refuse to listen to fans to hear what makes a good game, but I figured you would know that qte are BAD IDEAS, and you are a BAD PERSON for even incorporating them.
And Kojima has decided to incorporate a torture sequence even though YOU HAVE A SMALLER HEALTH BAR THAN BEFORE! WHAT THE HECK?!
Kojima is a massive idiot, but what is new? The storyline isn't anything worth phoning home about.
But the boss battles are worth going home and showing your family, damn those are some fine contraptions.
But the thing is, I haven't FOUGHT the Peace Walker yet. The torture sequence is 100% impossible, I have gotten all my friends to shoot at it and a friend who is a pro at Star Fox, and they all agree that it is the worst button mashing sequence in gaming history. So I still don't know what the ending of the game looks like.
CQC has also been improved so that using it is much, much, much, much easier. Press a button and your able to kick some guys @$$ with ease.
Peace Walker, Boss battles; good. Interactive cutscenes; stupid.
