If you've played any other games in the MGS series you know what you're getting in for.... almost.

I really wanted to enjoy this game. The idea of taking Snake anywhere I want on my PSP is amazing. The game for the most part is what you'd expect from any game in the MGS series. You sneak around as snake and watch as the story twists and turns through many cut scenes. The story is fun, and fits right in with the epic MGS franchise, I wont reveals anything to not spoil the fun for anyone else. The game adds a new element where you can capture and turn enemy solders to your cause, allowing the player to use them in missions. I had a blast running around collecting soldiers building up my personal army. The Multi-player here is good fun as well. It's no SOCOM, but a good addition and is sure to add hours of enjoyment to the game. The graphics and sound are great, some of the best I have seen on the PSP. The faults with MGS:PO is not so much in the game but with the PSP. Because the PSP only sports a single analog stick it can be difficult to control your camera and makes sneaking more of a chore than it should be. In addition, the analog stick on the PSP is to small and makes it difficult to control Snake.
If you love Snake enough to get past these control issues you'll love the game, as it really does live up the the others in the MGS series. MGS:PO is a great example of the many design flaws in the PSP.
